“There’s no such thing as too small of a space, but only too small of a heart”
Yesterday was all about getting to know the culture of Senegal and meeting our peers, and really getting up close and personal with the culture and the people.
Today, was a reflection of those interactions and we also got a wider perspective of Dakar as a whole. We took a tour all around Senegal and got to see the infrastructure and the history behind it.

We saw the Presidents house, which infrastructurally, looked a lot like the White House in the States. It was interesting to see the difference in neighborhoods and sides of town.
Today we also met with our host families. You will be hearing a lot more about them throughout the blogs, but they are amazing. They are an older married couple who are about the age of my grandparents. They are absolutely adorable and make me feel as if I’m home.
